As promised on my Grocery saving post, I have compiled a list of items that I buy from Aldi. This may seem like a short list, but that is only because I’m including items that I’ve personally purchased and used. I’ll make sure to add to it as I try new things!
Oatmeal (instant packets & rolled oats)
Salsa & Queso
Cheese (block, shredded, and sliced)
Butter (I’ve only tried the sticks)
Frozen Chicken (tenderloins and breasts)
Baking items (flour, chocolate chips, sugar, etc)
Stay Away From
Chocolate Syrup (not at all like Hersey’s)
Name Brand Items – usually more expensive then the normal grocery store
Their version of Tostino’s Pizza
One thing I will not include on this list is produce. That is because it can really vary depending on your location. There are some days where the produce at my Aldi is great, and some times when it’s worth skipping. I would advise to really look at your produce before buying, just to be safe. When it’s ripe, it really is good.
